The Jerome Family originated in Top Hill near Mount Pleasant, Carriacou. The oldest Jerome in Carriacou is Joe Jerome. Not
far behind him is Henry "Shem" Jerome who moved from Brooklyn, New York, back to Brunswick, Carriacou. Most of Shem's siblings
were born and raised in Tief, just above Six Roads. Eventually, Ahsay and Eldon moved to Brunswick where many of the Jeromes
still live today. The eldest living Jerome is said to be a lady who lives in Brooklyn, New York: She is 103 years old.
The Jerome family is related to almost every single family in Carriacou. The family has been growing as a geometric progression
since before the end of slavery in 1833. That is, almost every Jerome had about ten children for as much as two hundred years.
The family has dispersed themselves throughout the world and have many relatives in Europe, North American and South America
and the Caribbean.
