PACE UNIVERSITY IS OFFERING AN INTENSIVE ONE-YEAR PAID TRAINING PROGRAM FOR YOUTH AGES 18 to 24, called YEARUP, which provides Fortune 500 companies like Merrill Lynch, American Express, Lehman Brothers, and Bank of America with INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (COMPUTER) entry level talent.

Students earn up to 16 college credits from Pace University and are paid $150 per week while in training and $250 per week while working at the internship.

1) The Key Bank Take 5 Scholarship:

Key Bank will award one $5,000 scholarship each month from February to June, 2007. The money can be used for living expenses, tuition, books and more. Students can enter each month for a chance to win!

2) The Sallie Mae Fund Unmet Need Scholarship:

Open to families making less than $30,000 per year, this program is intended to supplement financial aid packages that fall more than $1,000short of student's financial need.

3) National Achievement Scholarship:

is an academic competition established in 1964 to provide recognition for outstanding Black American high school students. Black students may enter both the National Achievement Program and the National Merit Program by taking the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test and meeting other published requirements for participation.

The Hughes Summer Science Program is a five-week residential program sponsored by the Spellman College Biology Department for female 12th graders interested in pursuing careers biology, biochemistry and other biomedical-related fields that will be conducted from June 17 to July 20, 2007.

The rising 12th grader, one who will enter the 12th grade in the fall of 2007, MUST HAVE A GRADE POINT AVERAGE of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Application DEADLINE is MARCH 30, 2007.
